Ohhhhh! Ouch!!!!!

I can feel your pain.... a friend of mine worked at a large company and had taken a promotion out of the midwest to the east coast. They are younger - just had twins 4 months ago, wife quit her job for the move and have no extended family where they are currently located. 2 weeks to the day after moving out there - he was told he was laid off. They are currently trying to make arrangements to get back to family with all of their belongings before running out of the severence he was given.

It's tough all over.....good luck on your search.

Ouch, thats rough! I hope he finds employment soon.

Hey everyone,

So I got hired to work for a beverage company as a sales coordinator (no I wont say which company because they have visibility). I worked there for two great months. My boss was great, they flew me to their HQ to meet everyone, I got a huge office and decent pay and benefits. I was so happy because it is so hard to find a good job with the economy the way it is. So to my surprise, the director of HR comes to my office and calls me into the conference room. Thats when he told me that because of budget constraints , they were laying me off. I was shocked, but it quickly escalated to curious. I asked my boss if it was something that I had done, but didn't get a reply. My outlook out box was clear of all duties when I left, and I was never late on anything.

Oh well back to the greatness that is job hunting!
